If You've Got Good News You Want To Share It
Mission isn’t just for a select few “professionals” — it’s something God calls all of us into.

This week on The Shock Absorber podcast, we are getting close to the end of our mini-series on Soul Revival’s Service Teams. In this episode,
, Jai, and I talk about Soul Revival Church’s World Service Team, looking at how God’s plan has always been for His salvation to reach every nation, and what that means for us as the church today. Whether it’s across the street or across the globe, Jesus sends us to be His witnesses right where He’s placed us.Laying down the theological foundation, we dig into Matthew 28, Psalm 67, and Isaiah 49, tracing the big story of mission through the Bible and how Israel was blessed to be a blessing and how the saving effects of Jesus’ death and resurrection burst out to the ends of the earth. If you’ve received good news, you want to share it. Mission isn’t an optional extra; it’s the everyday life of following Jesus.
Heading into the practice of World Ministry, we talk about how Soul Revival approaches mission: how intergenerational ministry creates natural opportunities to share Jesus, long-term partnerships with CMS and with Indigenous leaders in North West NSW, and how financial and prayer support help us stand with gospel work around the world.
Finally, we highlight the importance of prayer and how this practice reminds us that God is the one who grows His kingdom, and that it’s His kindness to include us in it.
Along the way, we chat about evangelism as simply sharing what you love, how to deal with the awkwardness of talking about faith, and the surprising power of kindness, gentleness, and real relationships in opening doors to gospel conversations.
