This week on The Shock Absorber podcast, Stu Crawshaw, Joel McMaster, and I wrap up our series on the theology, strategy and practice of Berea, Soul Revival Church’s internal training program.
Recently, the staff team at Soul Revival Church restructured the Berea program, seeking to be both clear and comprehensive in the way we train our members. Designed to help people grow in faith, theological understanding, and leadership capacity, the re-tooling of Berea has been developed through collaboration while building on the strong foundations of previous training efforts.
The new structure consists of three delivery elements: Essentials, Next Steps, and Deep Dives. The goal is to create a clear and accessible pathway for people to deepen their faith, understand the church’s theological distinctions as an Anglican community, and find meaningful ways to serve.
Next Steps focuses particularly on training service teams by developing practical skills that enhance leadership and ministry involvement. In this episode, I particularly spend time breaking down what our latest Next Steps training day looked like for our Kids and Youth Ministry service teams.
Going back to the big picture, we finish by talking about how our new structure supports people at all levels of their faith journey, as well as their membership with us at Soul Revival, providing several accessible points of entry.
